A 36-year-old man was in Barshaw Park around midnight on Friday when he was hit by a bottle. His attackers are described as white, wearing shorts and T-shirts and aged between 18 and 30. Meanwhile, police are probing a second attack in the area. A 40-year-old man was walking in Netherhill Road, Gallowhill, in the early hours of Saturday when he was attacked by two men. The two suspects ran off up Netherhill Road towards Dundonald Road. They are described as white, between 18 and 22 years old, with short brown hair and wearing tracksuits. Both victims were taken to hospital where they were treated for their injuries.
