Strathclyde Police are investigating reports that a 15-year-old schoolgirl was raped in the Gallowhill area of Paisley last week.
The attack is alleged to have happened at about 1600 BST on 27 May in a wooded area near to Montgomery Road and Montgomery Avenue.
Officers are believed to be following a positive line of inquiry.
In April, a 12-year-old boy was arrested over the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl in the same area.
