A FATHER and son combo have set up Paisley’s first ‘Ghostbusters’ HQ.

Door steward Andrew Park, 30, and his dad David, 56, head up the Paisley Paranormal Investigation Team (PPIT) and have opened an office in Causeyside Street.

The full-time base will allow them to plan spooky stake-outs and investigate some of the country’s most haunted buildings – just like the heroes from the 1984 Ghostbusters film.

And David revealed Buddies are proving they ain’t afraid of no ghost.

He said: “Since Andrew and I started up the Paisley Paranormal Investigation Team we’ve just been busier and busier with people wanting to come out on investigations with us to haunted buildings.

“So it made sense to get our own office space so we can run it full time and take on more paranormal projects.”

PPIT members have already tackled buildings steeped in history in Paisley, including the Watermill Hotel where they used electro-magnetic field equipment, voice recorders and night vision cameras to try to detect supernatural activities.

And their next bid to prove the truth is out there will be when they travel through to The Vaults in Edinburgh early next year.

David, from Gallowhill, added: “Anyone who would like to get involved in an investigation or find out more about the PPIT can visit our offices at 63 Causeyside Street or give us a call on 07587 706 184.”

Meanwhile, the group have organised a Christmas dance at the Grand Ole Opry, with money raised being donated to the Special Baby Care Unit at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.

David said: “It’s £5 entry which will include a free buffet and we’ll also have a raffle for spirits, of course!

“The place holds 250 and I’m hoping to see it as busy as possible with all the money raised being donated to the Special Baby Care Unit at the RAH.”
